Next map, for any interested, I'm making a town that won't be accepting in non B12'ers unless it's a friend/relative brought in by a B12'er. Honestly, it seems like the people that aren't affiliated with a group are pants-on-head retarded and rude. I've met up with 4chan/Brotopia, and they were all nice and intelligent. Same with the goons, and facepunchers. Everyone else I've met were trying to jam a pile of their own feces into the square hole.

It depends on where you're going, I guess. My personal post-Ragnarok plans are to go west until I reach an ocean, wait for boats to be implemented, and sail off until I find a continent. This all would be easier if others traveled with me, at least for part of the way, so a band of westward-headed colonists might just be a fun get-together.

Now, here's where it gets interesting- if everybody worked at it, I bet we could build a road at a walking pace going west. Can you imagine a squadron of outward-bound dwarves, leaving a trail of road behind them as they set off to the wilderness?

Yeah, I kinda expected to get some idiots. Anyway, the whole point is to get some decent players before the Ragnarok. After we establish our town in the new world, we'll take a vote and see who we invite to live with us again. Yes, our current town is suffering for it, but I think this plan will benefit us in the long run.

Next map, public recruitment will only go through recommendation of a current resident. Ie, if you get to know someone and see that he's a decent player, you can invite him to join us.

In the meantime, note down names of people who engage in town-hurting behaviour, so I can revoke their citizenship.

So whens this End of the World event happening???
With the next town perhaps set jobs would make things easier...
And the first thing built would be the walls...
Ke ke ke...

The only prob I see with the Road leaving Dwarves is the timezones...
You join, go as far as you can before you have to go to bed/work/RL event and they will leave you behind, so what you do if your the only one??? Build only one line without the others, would be funny to see though, can easily work out who has no life. Ah but then again we play Dwarf Fortress...

I'll hope you don't close off town too much, but I can accept it if you do. Living a few screens away from town affords me the space I enjoy, though I don't interact with others in-game very often as a result. Nevertheless, I'd like to grow my forest near people who'll utilize it properly, and one of my associates has apparently taken to leaving urns full of candles at any candelabra she can find. We also like walking through town occasionally to see how things change over time, so it'd be ashame if the place was gated off to us neighbor-folk, but understandable.

Don't worry, I consider you a citizen, and a good one to boost. That is, you're pretty much guaranteed to get an invite into the next town (or to build a farm on it's outskirts, if that's what you prefer).

Let's better put it another way... I need cast iron. What would community members want in exchange for cast iron?

Might be, but I prefer to not take risks and have an investigation before we decide whether this might be some serious murderer or random alt killing.

Huh.

Seems the goons + company have utterly colonized the northern part of the map. Seems Bottleneck isn't as big an influence on the world anymore. Then again, there are a good ten villages that sprung up there with hundreds of characters made.

Still, wow. Now preparing for a journey to the middle of the lake.
