I'm in right now... and I don't know if I should move my house or not...

Does anyone knows if there's enough space to claim ?
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I don't think there is, there's minimum space required between claim (I think it's five tiles). You will probably be able to cover your door, but not your whole cabin. I suggest moving it a bit south.
*sigh* you were the one that helped me build the site....  :-\

Well... it's just one additional cart journey...

Can my alts and I move to Bottleneck? I have a farmer, a hunter, and a smith.

Sorry, not me.  I'm busy with stuff...  and I don't actually LIVE there.

Addition: When I recover from building my palisade, I'll have a lot of wood blocks and logs again, and I'll need metal, and I don't want to keep mooching off my original character.  Would Bottleneck trade cast and wrought iron for wood blocks and logs?

Hey everyone, I got back into the game last night.
One thing I was wondering about was why we aren't using http://www.quakenet.org IRC chat anymore. Quite a few DFers are on right now, and they are all in a party. Apparently, parties only hold 6, so it's just too bad for me if I need help with something. All you do is go to the website, click on 'web chat' on the menu bar and put in your username and the room 'DFHH' (dwarf fort haven hearth). I'd appreciate it if we could all move there, the typing is less laggy and we can fit as many as we want.

Partly what Mal said, partly that I seem to get errors about Quakenet being dead. Though that only seems to apply when I connect via mIRC. Huh.

Anyway, I collected some sand and made a few wine bottles and a wine glass. Also caught two breeding pairs of moths. It really is a shame how far any beaches are, though, and that there don't seem to be any roads leading to them.

Also, that offer of the wrought is still up if the stockpile walls haven't gone up yet.

Actually, it would be more useful for extending the village claim over the industrial area. It's livened up a lot now, as a lot of bricks are being made for repairs. Public baking has moved there too. Getting a claim over it would also allow me remove that claim that's protecting the cart parking.

Wall, on the other side, I'm not sure we need for the stockpile. Nothing terribly expensive is kept there, it's mostly stuff like leather and candles. I think we should wall in neighbourhoods. Sort of what Drink and Zewoo did, only with palisades because they're cheaper. They'll do just fine for protecting homes and goods used in daily work. For protecting high value goods, a vault could be constructed with brick walls. I'd actually prefer it if every neighbourhood had it's vault, to keep valuables distributed and thus safer, but a central vault could do for a start. But getting the houses protected should be priority.

Wrought iron can extend the village claim? I was completely unaware of that.

Anyway since I seem to be completely out of the loop, I guess I should take a stroll around BN, then I'll work on some more metal.
