That furry mocked dwarves' ability to dig. It lost me there.

You obviously weren't playing this game around the 2d-days, when cave-ins were extremely easy to trigger? Back then, I usually mocked up several times, costing many miner and their pets their lives. Ahhh... those were the good ol' days ^^

I was. Look at the date I joined the forum.

Not yet. In the next release, sure.

Jokes aside, the comic is really good.

Here's a unique look at digging too deep. I reminded me of some good discussion I read on the Suggestions board. Be sure to read at least to the shackle's inscription to get the full impact.

Ursula Vernon is awesome. I'm starting to wonder if she's a DF fan. The main character of Digger is very dwarf-like, and she draws some little lizards that look a lot like the Cutebold sketches that show up from time to time.

I have lost most of the the last two and a half days to this comic, and it's ALL YOUR FAULT.

Wow.

Wait... I've been reading a furry comic?

Anyway, I was thoroughly enjoying this comic, and suddenly the first, next, previous, last buttons all disappeared. I'm only a couple hundred strips in.

That page Draco linked to? Read some of the text:

"And then there's the gods that somebody's tied up and dumped underground, without bothering to check if, say, there's a perfectly good seam of anthracite running through their prison that somebody might like to use someday..."

Anybody else feel this way about HFS?

Just put up some scaffolding and don't do any magic and they generally stay asleep.

I have lost most of the the last two and a half days to this comic, and it's ALL YOUR FAULT.

Wow.
I did it in one night... Good for figuring out sweeping plot points (it's obvious who the god is when it was introduced three hours ago), bad for figuring out details like the hyena family tree. I feel as though I should know the connection between Grim Eyes and Ed.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

I blasted through it in two nights... I was sad when I realized I had caught up.

Btw, pretty sure (now with spoiler tag!)

Oh, man, that would be awesome if it was about the webcomic.  Too bad it's not.
