Buggiest Map
« on: May 28, 2009, 10:57:03 am »

I like playing on Maps that are slightly ...off, so lets find who has the buggiest map for 40d/40d11

I'll Post whatever we end up deciding on the Map Extremes Leaderboard: http://www.bay12games.com/forum/index.php?topic=36246.0

Buggiest Map I can find for 40d:

Slapped Bells - the map with Chasm Waterfalls

Also - Aquifer, Magma Pipe, Adamantine, Huuuuugely Tall Underground River, Saltwater River.

When Generated in v0.28.181.40d11 it has salt water.
But When Generated in 40d it doesn't.

Its not Verrrry buggy though. I want to see places where it rains lava and the ground is made of dwarf cheese.

Note: Takes me 3 hours+ to gen.

And what exactly did you think D meant by this statement? That he gen'd it on an ancient 486 box?

IIRC that means your items are now scattered around the mountain.

When I was a wee nub I found a map that never stopped rainning.
I thought the rain was magic pixies :(

Did you try at least building an ark? Or even a submarine out of yellow stones?

Nope; every item is piled onto the single tile as well. I have a quantum mountaintop.

When I've lost wagon on embark it just doesn't show up, so no 3 logs. Can be troublesome if you planned on them.

No logs, it's not that the wagon deconstructed, it's that it just never existed.

Fortunately i went with a no-anvil embark rather than a no-tool embark, if i'd done the latter i would now be up a certain creek without a paddle.

My uncle made a good one once.  It was all kinds of crazy.  Can't remember the details, though.

I don't think anything can beat Wizard Fortress, though.
