Gender?

How do I know if a Dwarf / Animal is male of female? I look at them with V? When I do it shows a bag sometimes or another thing.

Sometimes there's a seed bag thing. I'm using may greens tileset so maybe thats why? It'll show those two signs, but sometimes theres a seed bag instead. Dunno what that is.

Don't use any tilesets myself, but the symbol the game uses by default for bags is the male symbol.  So I think what is going on is that the tileset is reading the gender symbol as a seed bag and posts the graphic for it.  If I understand the issue you're having.

Yea well, the graphics for the bags (in vanilla DF) uses the male symbol, and so, when graphics packs make the bags look like real bags, the male symbol changes into a bag as well.

I think amulets are the same case, except with the female symbol. Although I think it's meant to look more like an Ankh (the Egyptain symbol of life) for the amulets.

I use the Maygreen tileset and noticed the same thing. I had actually posted about it as well. Until we get separate graphic squares for bags, amulets, and the gender symbols, that's what happens.

It doesn't matter what kind of bag, the symbol is universal for all bags.
