The common argument is: Darwin introduced the theory of evolution. This theory implies that a species will become stronger/faster/whatever if particularly strong/fast/whatever individuals are more successful in propogating. Thus, according to this theory, we should kill off/sterilize the weak to keep the species strong.

Hm, I learned it the other way around, that a species that is stronger/faster/whatever will be more successful in propagating.  Seems like semantics, but if you think about it, the difference is the difference between social Darwinism, and something that isn't totally idiotic.

But, but, gunpowder is cool! That's one of the few (really few ) Chinese inventions that I like.

Entropy is the measurement of disorder in the universe and chemicals tend to lean towards reactions that will increase Entropy rather than decrease.  However, they also lean towards reactions which decrease the energy within the bonds of the chemical, so there is a balance.  But chaos is in fact a natural force.

Strictly speaking, there isn't a "balance".

The entropy of any closed system increases whenever anything happens.

Essentially, in order for entropy to ever decrease, it has to increase somewhere else by at least that same amount. More, really.
