Build grates on all your rivers, that should stop them. Just make sure you get a good head start or you may see

Canadian Peasant has cancled Install Grates: Interrupted by Carp!

Then your line will be breached and you will be forced to start again further away.

Do you understand how many rivers we have?!

My solution is that we fire randomly into the water until they all are dead.

I think Toady might not need to change carp at all . . .

Alternately: The Brick Testament. It's a really fun look at what the bible would look like if interpreted literally. With Legos.

He needs to amp up their gaze attack and allow them to jump a few z-levels up to grab dwarves off of walkways.

Well if you're lucky the carp will drown.
Also, if you are forced into conflict, preferably use the wrath of your canadian lumber, or cast flare.

We are Canadians, we can beat them over the head with our beards*.
If we can wrestle polar bears, some sissy fish is not going to do anything else than spruce up our dinner tables.

*It is a fact that the Canadian beard has the consistency and strength of wood.

In response to the comments about the GG eating a seal heart.

Clearly, through mathematical proofing:

Polar Bear eats seal, you cannot eat seal = Polar bears are better than you.

Canadians eat seal, you cannot eat seal = Canadians are better than you.

I know this because of my learnings.

This has given me a new life ambition.  I am going to eat one heart from every mammal species in the world, including whales and humans.

Aren't whale hearts big enough that a person could live inside one?
