Those are really awesome.

And yeah, i think there is a script for dfhack that causes pregnancy without a father. Can just blame the gods for that.

As far as im aware, adventurers either stay where you retire them, or wander back to the first site you claimed lordship over if any. Children, i have no idea. They dont necessarily stay with the parents, even before adulthood.

I think Rumrusher knows pretty much everything about DFHack, he probably knows how to do what Cathar wants.

Hmm, there's definitely a script to knock them up, but last time I messed with it I had to deal with manually fixing the links to the parents, next time I get in a scripty mood I'll probably whip that up.

What I did so far is to use the [fix-ster fert all] command, I believe it worked. I hope so. It says it changes the sexual orientation to heterosexual.

I really hope that ehm...gay therapy worked, because I kinda want to go back to fortress mode for a bit. Have some projects in my head, and I believe having a big ass castle will be more effective to preserve the country than just threatening elves or slaying random beasts.

Talking about beasts

Edit

To serve as an epilogue to what was to me an epic tale of heroism and friendship; here's Luki having a chat with the queen and her first lady.

That game was a total blast

This is adorable.

To be perfectly honest I never thought "heartwarming" would be something possibly associated with DF.

I am setting out on an adventure, having been inspired by Cathar.

Erith is a (hero) human brought up in a dwarf fortress with a very long ponytail and a penchant for fistfights! She woke up in a room filled with statues of dwarves and forgotten beasts. Time to search for adventure.

Maybe I will make post-it note art of her adventures.

::EDIT::
The entire top floor of this fort, where the trade depot is? It's made of solid Garnierite. These dwarves are wealthy. Also, a violent insurrection began soon after she awoke. It's led by a goblin. Time to get out of here.

Yes :3

Anyway Erith apparently started in a dwarf civ where the entire border is never more than 2 world tiles away from a goblin civ. Warfare is constant, and it is difficult to go outside eastwards due to goblin patrols.

She and her new buddy Ast the Axedwarf (Astdwarf?) were ambushed by 6 goblins. Erith took out an axegoblin and a pikegoblin, the latter of which gave her a minor but scarring leg wound. It's worth noting that Erith started with no weaponskills and is currently unarmed.

I suck at drawing, but I enjoyed these last few games I've played and wanted to do some drawing of my current poor pikegoblin Sathar Akkarnebo.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
So here he is flinching at the words of a bandit warlord in a temple basement just trying to tell him to be careful at night.
