Your simplicity was key; you didn't have faces, hands, or overly complicated designs; just plain ol' stickmen.

Thanks! It seemed appropriate for this kind of story. :D (I guess it also has something to do with the very short sight range an adventurer has when exploring underground... darkness ensues.)

Now for a bit of fun...

I was playing as a Nephilim adventurer (an angel-like race from the Legends of Forlorn Realms mod), which has quite a few random "sounds" modded in, making them every now and then. (if you play as an adventurer, he will also make these random sounds).
