I'm thinking enhance the brains for comprehension of language, ability to be trained, and obedience, then give them cybernetic leg pistons to enhance their "put-a-hole-through-your-chest" kick.

I had a fight once where, as a modded T-rex adventurer, I got attacked while traveling by a night creature that reminded me of Slenderman. I bit off his knife wielding arm, and then bit him in half.

*specifically, it was a (tall, scaly maybe) black humanoid.
