So long as the fish doesn't go for the head, the dwarf should be alright. Unless it goes for the spine or sword arm, or the shield arm, or his legs, or torso...

...that dwarf isn't coming out of that river alive, is he?

Generally, when one is conducting an experiment, it is worth noting that the observers went insane, killed each other, and then rose from the dead.
It's like DF inhaled a peanut.

Is the moral of this story that you never get kills because of nature, companions, or lack of intelligence by necromancers?

I think it's because he simply wandered around, narrowly escaping death in dangerous situations whilst doing pretty much nothing.

Regardless, excellent work, as always! :D Love his expressions.

judging by the "legendary journalist" tag I believe it was his utter and complete lack of actual influence, the fishman froze, then he got companions, who killed the bandit dude, and when fighting a necromancer the necro dodged off the tower.

hence the joke of "legendary journalist" he was basically just watching.

I think it has to do with the turning in of the quests, which is "Report successes" in the dialogue. Since he reports about other people's successes, that makes him a journalist.

So I started playing DF again after a long break & against my better judgement made this...
Fair warning though, it's pretty stupid & poorly drawn.

Considering that we find silly stick comics funny, I should say MadocComadrin is right about that.

I've reported successes that I've never even witnessed, much less achieved.
Now that's a legendary journalist.

That was my first attempt at a comic without any text (well, okay, only two words). Seems like it generates a lot of audience-interpretation.

Love the beard. He's underwater, right? Because using a fishing line to swing around a canyon would be pretty damned cool.

Quote from: Toady One
DF has been out for six years now. We now have proper bloody footprints to show for it, complete with direction, the kind of shoe if it was a shoe and not a foot, that kind of thing. Critters on the ground are a little strange -- it picks the same parts that can pick up spatter from the ground, so there are strange things like cheek prints and turban marks, as if the crawling people really dig in with their whole bodies.

I think I pissed off nature and I think I know why.

story: I just finished a session with a bogeyman named "three tail" and came back to a hovel filled with wild mythical animals.
the worst thing about this is the fact every one was scattered about so I couldn't rescue most in in time. Also I was playing this in masterquest.
