DF is great for its amazingly ridiculous ways to murder you. I think I liked combat slightly better in 40d, simply for the ability to punt enemies completely out of your range of vision with a good hammerstrike.

Also, I wonder if the dorfen deathglare extends to engraving as well. Maybe it can refine the work that beards start, heh.

Okay so I was wondering if Shook could draw a bogeyman animal trainer. Based on this screen cap.


How I got to this picture: lead to taking an citizen making her journey across some miles, get ambushed by bogeymen, ran while dragging* a bogeyman until she reach a shed, watch one come alive, and walk into the shed she ran into, find out it was friendly, went on a hunt to find a vampire, find out vampires are slightly stronger than bogeymen, had both strangle the vampire to death, and finally came back home.


*warmist found out how to drag folks in Adventure mode.

I got unlucky in one of the first fights and got my spine broken. That made me crawl everywhere I went and not being able to attack anything, but I did not abandon. Instead, I learned how to throw.

Actually, beards are much too powerful to just carve bone. Nay, if beard contacts bone, the latter is ANNIHILATED. This is also why we don't have uppercuts in DF, since the collision between fist and beard would cause a cataclysmic explosion. And that's not even getting into what happens if two beards collide! (a new star is born, and its shape is Beard)

In other news, I genuinely chuckled (which is a big thing because I never actually let loose a roaring laughter, mostly it's just sort of an intense snickering) at the punchline in your comic. Well played, sir!
