I was inspired to join the board by this thread, and to make my own illustrations. One thing this has taught me is that making crappy art is hard. I am only dabbling right now, but I know that if I make 500 of these, one day I too will become a novice stickfigurer. Dear god, a bear punching a Cthulhu-man? I can only dream.

This one is from a recent experience. The only reason I remember the name is because the Virginity of Diversions attacked me twice. One day it's the Terror of Tunnels, the next the Sly Roads. Obviously somebody just wants to get rid of these people, and humiliate them in death to boot.
I like how it turns into a burned out wasteland after the battle. And don't worry about drawing skills, someday you'll be able to draw those stickmen.
...
And then you'll spark a derail on this thread about character placement conventions in comics or movies or whatever it was.  :P

Looks decent to me. Now just add more silly faces, and you should be set to go! :P

Also, this is probably more fortress related, but hey, weaponsmithing is relevant to adventurers too. Had this idea floating around in my head for the past few days, and i couldn't hold it back any longer.

I have convinced a friend of mine to give dwarf fortress a serious try for my birthday.  I will have to make sure I show them that while downloading.

Good job! I'm going to try and get my friends to become hopelessly addicted and depend-- er, FANS of DF, too!

Ah, but you are forgetting something. The entire sequence was the beard using the dorf for smithing, not the other way round. :P

@whitey321: Thanks!

@Greiger: Go for it! Go for the kill recruitment! :D

I assume the beards also do the engraving, the fighting, the digging, and the hunting as well.

Indeed. Dorfs don't wear beards; beards wear dorfs!

But I have a female legendary weaponsmith, and she has no beard.  If the beard is the "male" parasite, what is the female?
