@Shook: Your comic timing is gold, haha. What a weird combat message.

I can't be the only one that has had this happen... I need to start making all my doors "pet passable" before abandoning.  :-X

Copied Shook's animation idea/style  :P
Ahahahaha, glorious. XD

@eepkeep: Haha, bogeymen as DF's trollface is somehow... perfect. I've got an adventurer that's nigh unkillable (ended up alone three days from civilization and survived) who I should probably retire, before that smashed fingernail infection kills him.

Okay, since I can't draw for shit, can somebody draw a Void Master, with a missing arm and about 3 missing tentacles, strangling ALL 7 of a Hydra's throats (3 with arm, the other 4 with tentacles) , realize it's not working, then Reaper Sword-ing them off?

Also, the following is a true story.

Spoiler: part 1 (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: part 2 (click to show/hide)

I was pretty much dumbstruck, though i did smash its skull in with my sword shortly after. Also, i suck at drawing canines.

Heh, I've had that happen to me a bunch of times. For some strange reason it was always with ettins.

@eepkeep: Haha, bogeymen as DF's trollface is somehow... perfect.

Yeah. It didn't occur to me the first time I was drawing it, but when I began drawing the second one I realized that it fit perfectly with any death caused by carelessness.

Now, regarding the lack of dental science in DF:

Considering everything has about 6 or so teeth to start out with...its not that bad she still has enough teeth to bite and rip your head off.

For somebody who was missing a foot, he sure kicked a lot of ass.

Also, Necalli, are those shoulderpads made from kittens? Snazzy.

Yeah, in the future you probably shouldn't strike the earth quite so hard

Holy crap this is amazing.

Might I ask, however, why was it so important to get socks? Don't you usually start out with them? And they're not that important, as far as I can tell.

Have you ever walked, barefoot, through snow?

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO SUBJECT YOUR ADVENTURER TO THAT?!

You horrible person, you.

I love this, but, a question.
How come in that one panel, he just holds up a pair of boots?

I play as a pathological gambler an outsider, and outsiders start naked. :D
And yeah, socks are really unimportant now. But imagine walking in metal boots without socks while it's freezing out there.
Spikes are common story, though.

EDIT: Changed the panel a bit.

Limbs are just a bonus in DF anyway. If you can't do anything else, push those bastards to death!
