It was an uninjured wolf, so i doubt it went through a stab wound. The coin passing through the fur sounds more likely, as that could (theoretically) happen in reality as well, but then you'd hardly have hit the upper body. It's just the way DF writes it; it really makes it sound like the wolf went intangible for just that instant the coin hit. :U

I think there was a bug relating to this a few months back but i don't remember the cause. I'll do some digging.

I've seen this occur when a body part doesn't have tissues assigned to it.

Try copying the BODY tag above the tissue layer tags, and above the attack tags, it seems like your telling the game to add tissue layers and attacks to body parts that dont exist yet. Also check the error log.

You seem to have accidentally deleted these lines:

So have you been doing any modding? if not then it's probably a bug somewhere in the wolf's files.

The animals I brought with on embark died as usual, but the local wildlife almost ALWAYS gets caught behind the doors for some reason... it's not like there's anything of interest to an animal in my forts, they just path to them for whatever reason. :x

It was hard to break my non-stick figure and colorful mspaint style, so it kind of crept up on me as I worked on it I guess, haha.  I intended for the 3rd panel to look more serious of course, but the rest was meant to be sillier.
