I exited and reverted to last save. I had plans too make him the greatest hero ever. Dieing in the night to a goblin attack isn't very heroic...

This is the rather short story of Gida Beachcrested the elf and his encounter with Rodem Masterally the Phantom of Dusks the moon monster, a large three-eyed humanoid. It has thin wings of stretched skin and it shambles sluggishly. It's clear skin is wrinkled.

I love that look of shock the elf has - "I don't even believe this."

An adventurer of mine managed to sneak through the darkness of one night to the lair of a night creature, where he was successful in killing it. On his way to reporting his first success, he again got caught out at night, but this time he wasn't lucky enough to escape the notice of the bogeymen.

Leave it to a dwarf to notice the mineral makeup of his surroundings as he flees.
Unfortunately, he was unable to make it back to the town he was shooting for before the beasts finally wore him to exhaustion and damaged his lungs and/or neck enough to cause suffocation. Tough little dude.

This is from fortress mode, not adventure.... but it features an idle dwarf and a 'legendary' miner.
Stupid miners.

I'd like to remind everyone that half of the time I don't even know what I'm talking about. The other half of the time I only sort of know what I'm talking about.

The other 5% is your recommended daily schadenfreude intake. May contain traces of guts.

as mentioned in the "BS deaths" thread.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to express my hatred for win 7's MSPaint controls, or rather, the lack of their existence.
