Flash, I don't own fireworks.

Edit: That must be one powerful PAINTBRUSH. Dammit, Flash!
Also myself for not noticing that, but hey.

Fireworks is a lot more versatile. It's also almost unusable on a low-end PC. Heh.

Finally downloaded DF2010, and sent out my first adventurer - the axedwarf Sigun Lashmetals.

After tangling with some giant desert scorpions in a snowy desert, he was rendered unable to walk. So he crawled to a human dark fortress... where he found the citizens at war with each other. The first corpse he found was wearing a "lion leather hood." So of course he looted that. Given that his description made it clear that his head was pretty much covered with braided hair, I imagined the "lion leather hood" less as a leather hood and more as a hat made out of a lion's head. It made the fuzz situation even more ridiculous awesome.

He was killed after getting involved in the goblin/human war himself... but not after taking out a fair number of both races and earning himself a nice long name.

You know, I could probably draw up some of my adventures. Even though my skills aren't too great. But this one, I'd prefer if somebody else attempted.

It was a very old world (meaning, around 5000 years old), with no civ pop limits, megabeast cutoff, but lots of them beasts. I'm not exactly sure what happened there, but the elves of the world were mostly driven out of their forests until they no longer existed as a civ. There were scores of ruins all over the world - towns, forts, forest retreats. Into one such ruined town my goblin adventurer foolishly ventured, not expecting anything but possible loot. And then this happened.

Like I said, I'm not sure I can draw this one. I just don't think I'll be able to draw so. many. ELVES.

No, that's not all of them. A group about three times larger is to the northwest - I was fleeing from them. It was probably an elven nomad group - a LARGE nomad group, since I didn't limit civ populations. I pulverized about three dozen (with a cougar corpse) before I started getting tired and decided to make a run for it while I'm not yet surrounded. After weaving my way through most of the ruins (no archers among the elves, thankfully), I thought I got into a clear spot... and found myself rather wrong. Yes, I eventually did get away (these are elves, after all), but damn there were a lot of them.

^I'm more amused by the fact that your bronze/leather armor is covered with crap (figuratively and literary). Quite accurate for most adventurers...

Very crude comic, but bad mouse, plus paint == not very good drawing.
I don't see what you all have with wolves killing you, I killed a pack of 6 wolves the minute that I started.
I was only a level 3 or so swordshuman.

Yep, that's me in paint. If I drew it, it would be little better. My forte is technical drawing.

My apologies about the lack of bodies, but this seemed cooler.

It was worse in the older versions than it is now. A lot worse. If you didn't have shield or a legendary stat, you pretty much just died.
