This isn't entirely on-topic, but I was just wondering; can any of you teach me the ways of computer-art? I am very artistically talented when it comes to my own hands, but any time I try to do it with any programme over the computer it looks worse than a toddler's colouring book. I used to be good with editing/creating graphic designs in photoshop, but I'm talking about original artwork. I see some really beautiful pieces that some people do but haven't the slightest idea where even to start :(

Edit: Or at least point me in the right direction to a good tutorial of some sort.

Which has slowed down to a crawl lately for some reason. Not enough creativity to go around?

Well... I'd say start by downloading GIMP, which is mentioned all the time, and is free. And if you want, I can't teach you how to draw better (this is one of my more recent works, I have a feeling your skill far outweighs mine), but I can certainly teach you how to use the program. PM me here, and if you want I'll help you out through that, or on IRC, or through whatever means you deem comfortable.

Also I would just like to say that I would read any political cartoon that Vic Romano draws.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This actually happened to me once.
My Fort Died because HFS overran it, so I decided to adventure to it. It was on the other side of the world.
I got there after countless wolves, bogeymen, and goblin ambushes. Then I entered the fortress and was almost immediately one-shotted by HFS.
Also, I am bad at drawing, please excuse that.

Um... Wherever you saved them to?

For some reason, GIMP locked up on me half way through, and I had to draw the last two panels in MS Paint. I really liked the way text looks in GIMP, too...

Since I just gained the ability to draw non-stick figure characters, I had to celebrate somehow.

I figured me upper-cutting a goblin is a perfectly good way to go about that.
