Tea is Supreme!  Hail the great Tea!  Giver of life and Quencher of Thirst!  (something coffee won't do, I can tell you)

Guys, the British are coming!

Even decaf coffee can keep you awake, at least while you're drinking it. Having a cup of potentially crotch-burning decaf with only a flimsy plastic top between you and children will certainly make you alert while driving.

Why do people like coffee? To me it smells like wet soil wrapped in a burning piece of newsprint and tastes exactly what it smells like.

Why do poeple eat popcorn? It looks and tastes like piece of paper.

Plus coffeine IS addictive.

Let's see..

"Though moderate caffeine intake isn't likely to cause harm, too much can noticeably affect your health. Heavy daily caffeine use — more than 500 to 600 mg a day, or about four to seven cups of coffee — can cause:

Insomnia
Nervousness
Restlessness
Irritability
Nausea or other gastrointestinal problems
Fast or irregular heartbeat
Muscle tremors
Headaches
Anxiety"

Too much coffein = bad for your health. Period.  :)

Though moderate caffeine intake isn't likely to cause harm, too much can noticeably affect your health. Heavy daily caffeine use — more than 500 to 600 mg a day, or about four to seven cups of coffee — can cause:

Insomnia - Got this
Nervousness
Restlessness - This too
Irritability
Nausea or other gastrointestinal problems
Fast or irregular heartbeat
Muscle tremors
Headaches  - Yup, Migraines actually.
Anxiety

And no, don't care. I'd rather drink coffee and tea and have some possible mild issues rather then give it up and be sleepy all day.

Guys, the British are coming!
I'm American.  Specifically, from Charleston, SC.  I should like tea, if you know some history about what we did during the American revolution with regards to tea protests.  We did it better than those guys in Boston, I can tell you.  We sold it . . . for weapon money.  In Boston they just wasted it, like those foolish people doing the tea parties in protest of Obama (those guys don't even know their own history).

Tried to get off the coffee for a week. I successfuly made it, though the withdrawal symptoms (including extreme headaches and delirium) nearly killed me.

I don't know anything about the effects coffee has on kidneys, but I have heard it's good for preventing heart disease and dementia...frankly I'd rather lose a kidney than my heart or mind.

That's easy to say, you've GOT two!

Though I'd still probably take dialysis over heart failure.  D:

Guys stop massacring tea in this thread! Sugar in tea is an abomination and should carry the death penalty. A tiny spot of milk (And I mean tiny, it makes me shudder when I see cups of tea that are half milk) or alternatively a slice of lemon. Always use a teapot instead of tea bags and for gods sake buy something good, it doesn't have to be expensive but good quality and consistent. I hate some tea brands where they obviously don't bother with a taster so the taste changes from batch to batch.

Yes I'm English  ;D
