When you create a character, your items, spells, skills will be assigned randomly.
-Classes
Gun Expert - +1 with all types of guns. +1 on repair checks dealing with guns.
On a chance roll, they may choose to reroll one failed gun attack roll a day.
Assassin - +2 on damage when the opponent doesn't notice you. Increases to +3 when attacked with a knife or gun (chosen when taken)
Mechanical Genius - +1 on all repair checks on machinery.
On a chance roll, they may have magnetokinesis.
Soldier - They can work twice as long without having to rest. +1 with on an attack roll with a specific gun.
Computer Junkie - +1 on repair checks with computers. +1 on hacking checks with computers.
Xenobiologist - +1 on attacks rolls vs. aberrations. Can partially learn languages.
Scientist - +1 on chemical checks. Can identify chemicals by using one of their senses on it.
Survival Expert - +1 on scavenging checks. +1 on attack rolls with improvised weapons.
Guttersnipe - +1 on steal checks. +1 on squeezing checks. Counts as one size smaller for squeezing.
Mutant - Body may change every 10 turns.
Occultist - May preform rituals to gain spells. Can cast spells.
Occultist(Alt) - May preform rituals to control a mindless being.
Begins with a companion.
Doctor - Knows how to make medicine. +1 on treat injury checks.
-Skills
Guns - Attacks and damage with guns.
Melee - Attacks and damage with melee weapons.
Improvise - Attacks and damage with improvised weapons.
Steal - An umbrella for Pick pocket, sneak, hide, and pick lock.
Repair - Fixing up an object.
Craft - Making things.
Squeeze - Squeeze through tight areas.
Block - Blocking things.
Dodge - Dodging things.
Acrobatics - An umbrella for Jump and balance.
Intimidate - Scaring things.
Magic - An umbrella for focus and will.
Treat Injury - Treating wounds.
Scavenging - Finding food and other things.
Chemical - Determining and mixing chemicals.
Mechanics
-Movement
One movement action lets you move 6 tiles. If you are squeezing or in
difficult terrain, you can only move 3 tiles. You can also use a movement
action to perform a skill check. Alternatively, you may move 3 tiles and preform a simple skill.
-Attack
One attack action lets you use a weapon, reload a gun, or fire a ranged weapon.
When you attack, you roll a 6-sided die against your
target. Rolling a one means the opponent can get an attack against you.
Rolling a six means the attack does double damage.
-Companions
Occultist are the only class that can gain a companion.
An Occultist's companions have a class like a normal player.
Though, all of their skills are displayed, only skills that their class depends
on can be used (along with the three attack skills and dodge and block).
The player who owns the companion can tell it what to do but it won't
usually want to give away powerful items (glowing and artifact) or do
anything suicidal. There is an exception for necromancers.
If their companion is non-casting, they can tell their companion
to do things other companions will not. Recruited NPCs and
husbands/wifes count as companions, though NPCs are "owned"
by the person they respect the most.
-Exploration
During exploration turns (which means no enemy is in sight), you may make as many moves as you like.
-Savescumming
At anytime a player can choose to save scum. When they die, they get moved to the
back of the waiting list and use the same character when it is their turn.(Maybe?)
