It's like.

Forum-Mafia is a roguelike, you get to think over EXACTLY what you gotta do that's best.
IRC-Mafia is a twitch FPS, you stop moving and you DIEEE.

Forum Mafia is to IRC Mafia as Chess is to Speed Chess.

It's not the speed, it's the codewords, rolenames, and random thought trails that you have no chance of understanding.

And yeah, I suppose IRC mafia games do tend to go pretty fast, as well.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

I almost won a game by trying to get everyone to bandwagon the confirmed town (Recruiting Mason! Seriously!) I basically was as scummy as I could make myself, and it took forever to get them to lynch (Also, I wouldn't move my vote to double lynch.) We barely lost. I'm not quite sure how, because I lost connection, but it was pretty epic.

I said it before, when scum act hyperscummy the town becomes drawn towards NOT lynching them.  It doesn't make sense (you can do the same thing as town and it's LYNCH!)

It's like reverse WIFOM with a dash of RiA...or perhaps being town automatically turns your brains into sludge.

It's actually standard WIFOM; anyone acting really scummy must ovbiously want to be lynched, because otherwise they wouldn't be acting scummy, ergo you don't lynch them.

Townies get uncomfortable when they think someone knows something they don't.

Dak... If you pull the too scummy gambyt... you better not selfvote when I'm playing... Or I'll definetly call your bluff... I've been doing it succesfully for a while now...

Conclusion:  Selfvotes are a bad idea.

Unless you legitimately want to get lynched.
