As Lieutenant Chamuel Mendrick and his men emerge from their ship, a massive figure steps out of the forest. It's legs are like tree trunks, and it's arms bulge with inhuman buffness. It's smallish, misshapen head has two beady yellow eyes that gaze out into the world. It opens it's jagged mouth and bellows;

"FRRIIENNDSSS."

It sits warily awaiting a response.

(Didn't you read what Armok said right before you!?

I shall ignore Inaluct's post when I add the next installment)

Euprydi was in a grim mood.
So it had come to this. The glass-hull and his glass-hull birds. Within his body, oil flowed over every joint, coolant spilt through it's tubes at a ridiculous pace, boost fuel was used up. Under his feet, the insulating rubber spilt out, de-grounding him. Instantly lightning arced from his back to the earth. From his fingers slid deadly blades.
Euprydi charged.

(Right. Ok. Different, incompatible cultural backgrounds. Euprydi will never bow to another's culture, and Virren obviously won't either.
So. Unless we want a battle of glacial slowness, we need to plan something. Euprydi will zap anything that conducts electricity and is grounded. As the primary enemy flies and is made of glass, this is not really an issue unless they start melting and ground themselves. However, Virren himself is going to have to watch out.
Euprydi is stronger than your above-average human, and feels no pain. He is also made of steel. Physical attacks from his hurt, and physical attacks towards him need to be able to pierce or at least dent steel.
Euprydi holds no truck with magic. He does not use any. Also, magic designed to harm flesh-hulls will hardly harm him, whilst magic designed to warp unliving metal is not going to work very well against him.
He is also an excellent fighter who easily adapts.
But enough about him.
Tell me of steel-piercing animated glass and the vast magical and cognitive powers Virren possesses.
Or run away.)

This topic shouldn't be on the second page.

It probably shouldn't be on the first page, either.

(It isn't quite a case of cultural difference, but more of Verin's stubbornness and misplaced righteousness.)

Well, some of the advantages Virren has would be:
1.) Situational advantage. We're standing on a quartz vein. That has to count for something (sorry if this seems to handwavy for you, I can revoke it)
2.) Shielding. This may be getting into the realm of telling what another player can do, but I seriously doubt your tesla coils are strong enough to punch through a thick sheet of glass or quartz.
3.) Impact. Glass might normaly not be able to pierce a steel sheet, but when flung at sufficient speed it can certanly make a dent. Plus, Verin's capable of shaping glass at will (and quartz, basicly anything made of sillica, though sand isn't very receptive to magic. I won't get into changing cristal structures and chemical reactions yet), so any projectile that shatters would reassemble quickly.
4.) Swarm advantage. Verin's surrounded by a large swarm of glass and quartz trident wasps. You can't realy keep them all out. They might not be able to damage you directly, but they could attach to you and do some nasty things from there.
5.) Optical tricks. Glass is known for it's ability to form lenses and mirrors. These optical tools can be used to create illusions, hide objects from side and confuse people, though this ability is quite limited. It should work on someone that's not prepared though. Also usefull to start forrest fires.

In case of emergency, he can always take flight, though that requires very thin wings which can easely be broken.

The evil spirit charged at him. That wasn't quite what verrin expected, though he realises that it would have been the most logical outcome. Anyway, there was little time to think now.

A part of the swarm quickly assembeled a shield in front of Verrin. It would not be able to hold out the hulking furnance, but it'd at least offer some protection against the lightning device on it's shoulder. Next job would be taking it down. To do so would require quite some force...

Several of the trident wasps reformed into a drop-like shape and flew at the hulking machine at a dazzelign speed, ready to knok it of it's feet.

(Seems like alot of people have abandoned this. I will do something now.)

She grew annoyed as the man grew increasingly unresponsive to her, then with a huff, sped away. She heard noises of fighting from a distance, and decided to surevy it to see what was happening.

(Make him a Mary Sue! :))

A few minutes of concentrated effort yielded Sean a small and comfortable, if a little unstable, platform on top of a nearby tree. Making sure there were no inquisitive eyes around, he disabled the optical camouflage and rested for a few hours, waiting for the warm rays of this world's yellow sun to bring his power reserves to acceptable levels.

Euprydi was in a good mood. Battle! Roar! Glass-wall not protect glass-hull!
Suddenly a missile struck him in the chest. Hard. Ridiculously hard. He was knocked back, and felt that several frontal chest supports were dented slightly.  The missile had sent him flying back into the pit. He roared, and picked himself up.
Glass-hull had siege weapons, eh? This called for a more carefull aproach. With an eye out for further attacks, he charged again.
Glass-hull would pay for the damage he had done. Once he could find someone to repair it, that was.
Hmmn, what if they would do it for free? Best to kill glass-hull anyway.

Through the vast blackness of space a small piece of rock hurtled (small in a cosmic sense, it's the size of an ocean cruiser), headed straight for a lush green planet circling a yellow sun. As the rock entered the planet's atmosphere it began to glow and break apart, and by the time it reached the ground only a truck-sized segment of it had survived. This small piece of it was still enough to create a sizable crater, and in that crater it lay unmoving for some time.

After a little while it started to shake slightly, and then it parted to reveal that a figure lay inside. This figure was a man made entirely from rock, ten feet tall, and in his eyes burned a fire, dull red in color. The figure rose from his resting place and looked at his surroundings, all he could see was forest, and he wasn't particularly fond of forests. He placed his right hand on the rock he had arrived in, and immediately the rock started to move under it, soon taking the shape of a large hammer in his hand. He then started to walk away from the vessel, hammer in hand.

When he had reached the edge of the crater he turned back and looked at his vessel. Then he waved his left hand, and it simply turned to dust, and with a second gesture of his hands he filled the crater with dirt. He then turned around and continued to walk through the forest, his footsteps shaking the ground under him and scaring the local wildlife. He hoped that he would find something or someone interesting on this planet.
