The aliens are invading! And they brought the plague!

I had a strange dream last night about dwarf fortress.  Aliens landed on my fortress in their UFO. It was a new fortress with 7 dwarves. I recruited them and eliminated the aliens. They were tough with high Damblocks and carrying laser guns. Their were also a ton of alien animals, ranging from creatures bred for food to 2 huge elephant-like war creatures. I killed them off... somehow...

I took their stuff, but noticed that my dwarves all got sick with alien flu. They died off. I found a new embark location. Same thing happened. I embarked again, and left the aliens alone. One hunter passed by, got sick, then spread the flu to the rest. I embarked again, and the aliens came to abduct my dwarves, killing them all. After a while, it started to be less dwarf fortress-y and turned into a camping trip with friends (though for some reason, I could still see the unit manager)

One of the side effects of the alien flu caused it to be more likely to enter a fell mood. Strange.

X-Com + Dwarf Fortress = Dwarf-Com

Use your dwarves to fight off a worldwide alien invasion.  Build your own skyrangers and interceptors using alien technology, use the new dwarven researcher job and new research and alien containment buildings to steal the alien's technology and use it against them!  Interrogate captive aliens to discover their sinister motives, then apply magma! (to mars)

... Dangit now I need to see if I can get X-COM UFO defence working in Vista...

You can using DOSBox. Also the version on Steam comes with a properly set up DOSBox to run it, I just bought that for ease instead of messing around with it.

By interrogate you mean subject to several dips in the magma, right?
