fyi dumping can produce a pretty good amount of credit as it's worth a lot more than hauling or lever pulling and if you put a new garbage zone on the tile right next to the old one you just removed they could perform the task almost as fast.

*you need to mark the stuff for reclaim before marking it to be dumped again. Dumped stuff gets forbidden.

Does anyone know how well pumping pays? I generally have several useless pumps set up and all my haulers set to pump so they gain experience (for strength and speed). I've always had the economy switched off, so I don't know how well it pays though.

dwarves can only pump for short amounts of time, the exhaust quickly

Eventually the exhaust really slowly.
