Considering this idea was mentioned and destroyed in the very first DF thread ever, way before even 2D was released, there is really no reason to keep clamoring for pee and poo simulation.  Can you imagine having to dwell on it long enough to code it?  Do you really want to subject the world to bugs of DF scale and scatological bent?  I ask you.  DF has made us crazy enough already.
Trying to put in agriculture without manure and compost is like putting in combat without blood.

Regardless of that opinion the idea had already been considered and rejected years and years ago.

Toady said that he would add it to the game only if he considered it to be a fun addition. Hence, we suggest ways that it could be implemented such that it is fun.

I agree with Urist. Steampunk is like Darth Vader winning Holland's Next Top Model. It would be awesome but not something I'd like in this game.

what? I can't hear you over the sound of FUn happening due to farm based diseases. Everyone seems hellbent on making farming FUN, but try not to make it too FUN

Personally, I imagine a loo as either a well like construction, that goes the opposite direction, and thus requires no bucket, or a floor grate with a designation over it.

Perhaps both could be included, with poncier dwarves demanding the fancier arrangement.

If this does go in, I recommend that the first release to feature toilets, not also feature sewage and sewers. Manure and it's farming applications would make a good forerunner to both items.

This gives the naysayers the chance to see that dwarves pooping does not cause the world to end, and gives us time to adjust to the new realities one at a time.

Plus, we'd get more freaquent releases... ;D

we could use it when the goblins are coming in your fort,they all of a sudden get hit with it from abouve

No no, the ultimate trap involves a sewage pit along the side of the passage, and a torch being lit at the end of the tunnel, shortly before the accumulated methane from hundreds of dorfs all being bubbled up through the sewage at once.

The bare minimum, cool sewage trap involves a flow of A washing the invaders into a flow of B. With A and B being magma and sewage, in whichever order is easier to clean up.

Ultimate sewage traps will probably involve dying slowly from some horrible disease, and eating raw kittens to survive.

Sewage should _most_definitely_ be flamable in the way that booze is flamable.

Of course not. In point of fact, an above ground sewage pit or uncovered vat, shouldn't produce enough methane to burn, let alone explode, under normal circumstances.
