I just had 4 ( :o) goblin ambushes simultaniously, in which several goblins died on my golden drawbridge, suspended above some magma/lava. So when i pulled up the bridge everything under the bridge except for iron stuff melted as it should. But I just looked, the object fell in the magma about 15 second ago at an agonizingly low framerate. The copper is apparantly laced (and also covered) with three types of blood.

The blood on a copper weapon is entirely possible as they slaughtered some horses, cats and dogs in front of my drawbridge. But how did the copper ever get laced with blood!?

And it's contents is Dog blood smear, cat blood smear and horse blood covering.

Pictures will follow soon.

Awesome.  Incidentally, I have 3 molten pools of metal in my depot.  How do I get rid of them?

The best way is, even though it seems counterproductive, is to melt them. If I remember correctly it will produce bars of the specific metal.

How did you end up with molten pools of metal in your depot anyway?

As far as that molten metal bieng 'laced' with blood, I guess it just means that the blood got mixed in. Even though the blood and organics would have evaporated/burnt off already.

Whats even stranger is that the copper doesn't disseapear like proper basalt or any other stone does, but it just lays there in a narrow Iron low boot.

Dragon.  Injured a war dog and a bull, although a champion then took it out without a scratch.

Seriously, I don't know why.  Only one of the many dogs around my depot was injured (and then killed by a trap) so I don't know how it made those molten pools (of random metals I'd purchase in case of moods).  My depot is made of wood, and my dwarfs walk over these molten pools of metal all the time with no problems.  No dwarfs were lit on fire.  In fact, I think the pools have been lying there for over a year now.

Yea, the Depot kind of makes things act wierd or rather acts like a stasis field. Like if you have some food that you brought over to the depot and forgot to send it back before they left, it will stay there and not rot. It won't be collected either.

Sell them to some Elven traders :)

I'll have to have a go.  It would be awesome to see them combust as they walk away.

Would handling these molten metals harm my dwarfs?

Since they are already inside your depot, they should technically be instantly marked as up for trade. You may have to worry more about the combusting elves setting your fort on fire, but hey, they are elves... on fire!.

Sweet.  I'm so gonna do that.  Although the elves may wonder why all the dwarves are underground with their fingers in their ears.

Incidentally, I'm also gonna have to trade them some finest quality booze.

Make sure that booze is in a non-wooden container though, otherwise they won't pick it up.

I have no sand, I'll just have to make some iron bins (coz my silver, zinc and pewter is all molten  ;D).

Will booze still explode if the barrels are metallic? I have a better idea-give them some cats to go with it. The elves will be able to see that explosion all the way from their retreats. Even better: temporarily turn off temp and give some objects a magma covering. Trade them. Turn temp BACK on. That should lead to elves having "fun" in a truly epic manner. Especially if,for instance, one of the things you traded them was a piece of lignite in a metal bin.
