Forest Dwarves? Wat.

So, I'm genning some small worlds, looking for marsh/swamp, next to mountains so I can have:
Magma, Underground river, trees, sand (hopefully), and a chasm/bottomless pit.
And I'm playing the the orc mod, and a few things I've put in myself, nothing touching the dwarves though.
When I look around as I finished with the generation and I see this:

And I have NO CLUE WHAT HAPPENED.
Maybe they killed the elves?
I'm gonna go legend's hunting shortly.
Will update if I find the cause.
Speculation?

I've seen Human forest retreats appear from defeating the elves during worldgen, so it's possible

It would seem that dwarves went out and slaughtered a town of elves. Awesome.

A bunch of steel plate wearing barrels of booze, wandering around a forest killing things. Pretty much.

Yeah, check the Legend section; the Dwarves had a war with the local elves and won.

I had one worldgen a while back where one of the four dwarven civilizations, The Last Fortress, successfully eradicated elves as a civilization in a series of wars (it's a bit odd to see battle results where combined armies of elves and dwarves storm elven retreats) by conquering all of their cities. Though, if I recall correctly, the elves didn't help themselves by fighting a drawn out war with a Dark Tower that resulted in a whole bunch of them getting killed by a single demon (who eventually fell to a dwarf in a seperate raid). Anyway, all of the living elves are members of the Last Fortress and are, presumably, given jobs as wood burners. Just because.

As a result of all these cities being conquered, selecting the Last Fortress as my starting civ turns the entire middle section of the map blue. It also gives you an extremely nice selection of stone and gems as well.

YES.  BLOOD AND GEMS AND GLORY FOR THE BLOOD GOD. But mostly just blood.  And blood colored gems.
