So I've got a stable of sleeper agents scattered around.  Lawyers, Corporate Managers, Lab Techs, and so forth.  Specifically, I've had some of them trying to Uncover Secrets for several months now, and I haven't heard a peep from them.

Curious, I looked on the wiki and it says, "Uncovering Secrets will have the sleeper deliver information to the LCS hideout, which can be used to publish special editions of the Liberal Guardian, provided they are in appropriate locations".  What does that mean?  I have to have my founder in the same safehouse as my printing press or something?  Or have I just been unlucky, and need higher up saps to get useful info?

Provided they are in the appropriate locations refers to the sleepers themselves. The effective places for them to be are

The AM Radio Studio
Cable News Studio
The Cosmetics Lab
The Genetics Lab
The Police Station
Corporate Headquarters
Intelligence HQ
Prison

If the sleeper is not in these locations, they won't produce anything. Sleepers in other locations are better regulated to promoting liberalism. They must also be at least Known Conservatives.

Ah.  So that's why my "Respected" Janitors don't produce squat.  Thanks for asking Aqizzar, and thanks for answering Ampersand.

Yeah, I only had a couple Known Conservatives.  A few weeks spouting hatred fixed that.

Also, any info they uncover is checked for and delivered at the end of the month, before printing the Guardian.  As much as I can tell, I've never really gotten this far.

Also, in addition to all that, not all sleepers are created equal. The sleeper will only be capable of leaking secret information if they have access. A News Anchor will produce a lot more information than a janitor at the Cable News Studio, regardless of how entrenched the janitor is. I'm not even sure if Janitors, Secretaries, and Office Workers are even capable of leaking anything.

They could break things, 'lose' paperwork, or do harmful work, respectively.

Meeting schedules, maybe. Possible financial reports, etc.
