Project: Destroy Everything
« on: May 17, 2009, 11:55:19 pm »

I'm starting a new project to destroy every single civilization site. It will mostly be using boring methods, but maybe not. I will use this as a log of my destruction.

Here's the map:

Town 1:
Human Town

Small-ish town. Only 4 medium sized buildings, the mead hall, and a few houses. I will burrow underneath each one, hold it up with a support, link the supports to a lever, and pull. Everything falls down and is destroyed.

What about Elves? Are you just gonna like, cut down all the trees?

I'll destroy them creatively.
That means I'll probably cut down all of the trees, then burn the place.

Anyways, on with the log!

Apparently Town 1 has an aquifer. That means no stone. I'm going to try and pierce it with the wood gathered from the small house I destroyed with the regular cave-in. Retrospectively, I should've just demolished it manually. Then my miner wouldn't have been injured.

Edit: The miner who was injured in the cave-in just suffocated from two yellow lungs.

I'm looking forward to elven aquariums.  Will resident carp attack resident elves?

I like your thinking! Kill them from below! Your last one should be extra special, however. Perhaps drowning the fort and then encasing it in obsidian?

Oh here's a good method; Capture a bunch of invaders in cages, and place them all around a town. Link them up to one lever, and let them go!

Another; instead of dropping houses in pits, drop constructed walls onto houses.

[Healthcare Update Thread] Personally, I can't wait for doctors to get possessed and start surgically attaching axes to champion soldier's arms.

You have very interesting yellow oceans. And yellow streams. And red rivers.

What're you planning to do for dwarf mountain fortresses, assuming you find some way to embark on them? I suppose the undermine and collapse method would work as well.

I'm guessing that adventurers would be involved there.

Any way to take a dwarf from fortress mode into adventure mode? Morul would be fun to take walking around...

Boo! Maybe I'll write up a feature request to preserve dwarves within a world - take them from an abandoned fortress to adventure around or maybe pull them out of an active one - add them to a new embark group, etc.

You might be able to find him.  They still exist.

Embarking on a mountain fortress is just as simple as starting with a differing Dwarf civ, aint it?
