Well, with the current release somewhat stable again speaking of servers would be nice.

I demand a huge-sky server, like the one we had last time. Sky-towers FTW!

If not that, then a deep server? As in, with VERY many underground Z levels?

Or an ocean build server?

One day, we shall all look back on this, and laugh. Sorry about the face, by the way, and the legs, and the eyes, and the arms. In fact, sorry 'bout the whole body.

Oh wow, I haven't played this game in months and now look at it.

Stairs, explosives, furniture, black bricks, and more!

If only you guys knew what goes on in 420chan servers.

Re: Me Hosting Server.  Yeah, if I'm going to host a server, I get to say what the server looks like.  Or at least it's theme or whatever.  And personally, I find freebuild servers boring and silly.  Never tried sky-build or ocean-build, which both sound cool, but I don't feel like going to the trouble of setting up a special map.

So if I host a server, it would be a theme-build server, that theme being... well, building type stuff.  Dwarf stronghold, town whatever.  I'll just generate a normal, huge-sized map with terrain and water and whatnot, so there'll be plenty of space for everyone to put stuff.

Man, I can't wait for multiplayer survival mode.  Once it drops, that's what we're doing.

A huge map sounds great, and DF/medieval theme is great too. It should have a high enough skyline for large forts and towers.

And a definite yes to multiplayer survival, as long as one important thing is fixed: mobs shouldnt spawn anywhere, but at specific places (lairs?). Why do i say this? Trust me, you'd agree with me if you spent an hour carefully building the ultimate wall without getting killed by the stuff on the other side, only to have a random group of spiders spawn BEHIND you, INSIDE your fort, and slaughter you.

I'm sure Notch has gotten plenty of feedback on that and is planning some kind of control over spawning.  Or maybe not, I don't know.  I do know that clearing spiders out of my villa whenever I leave gets real old real fast.

Hey guys. I never knew there was a Minecraft thread on here  :P. I bought Minecraft about half a year ago, I stopped playing but I've gotten into it again.

I think a server for us Bay12ers would be pretty awesome.  8)
