... oil refineries, ..., chemical processing facilities...

I'm not suggesting people play ancient versions of Minecraft but I've never been more tempted to dive back into 1.7.10 than when I saw someone's completed Per Fabrica Ad Astra refinery/chemical processing plant.

Just ptw here, since I own Minecraft. Not sure if I'm going to play it very much (or at all) since I have no sense of a goal to work towards a la Dwarf Fortress, but I do still own it.

Anyway, hi folks. Let me start my forays into this topic by asking an intentionally upsetting question:

What, over the course of the nine or so years since this game's release, would you say was the worst change made?

Auto jump.
Options, disable.

First thing I did when I started playing again.

And then a mod adds a "toggle autojump" key, bound to the same key as "create waypoint" in every pack ever.

Because autojump is something I'd like to be able to quickly toggle at a moment's notice...

First thing I do after downloading any pack, is bind all the useless keys to Num9.

And yet again, Minecraft has a new update.
1.13, otherwise known as; the Aquatic Update.

But you guys probably knew about the update already because of the snapshots.

I wonder if boats still have the impact durability of popsicle sticks.

Heck, I'd love to have larger, non-static ships built from various blocks, but I'm pretty sure Minecraft cannot handle that.

Mods can do it, at least. Surely the base engine can handle it with some official modification.

Current version have almost just been released.

1.12.2 is the latest one mod developers have latched onto, Tinker's even been carried through. That, plus Thermal Foundation, Mekanism and Environmental Tech means I'm happy.

A Bay12 server with the objective of building an underwater city could be interesting.

It sure would. But what stops people from turning into hermits, as they usually do on Bay12 servers?
