Latest news:
Quote

Each player has 10 hearts of health. You can lose 1/2 hearts in damage, so you really have 20 units of health. Falling damage takes away between 0.5 and 3 hearts depending on how far you fall.

Armor will take damage before health. When armor runs out of damage, it breaks and you have to craft a new one.

Also, none of the Linux distributions for Wii support the internal wifi
Until one that does is developed or I obtain a USB wifi adapter, Wiiifying my server won't happen.

Doo doo doo doooo!

Heart container acquired!  So, when is this next version supposed to launch?  I heard Thursday, but that sounds a little ridiculous.  Especially since I'll be out of town this weekend.

Okay, out of curiosity as to why this thread has survived so long, I took a peek at the link Jakkara posted.

Hol-ee Shiite.  This is awesome.  I ran around trying to get a feel for the controls for a while, and then I found a nice spot to strike the earth and dug out a little mini-fort (really just some stairs, a hallway, and a dining room).

Sponges, huh?   Funny.  I thought they were cheese.  That explains why the water was acting so weird around my dining table.

Has he ever given any indication of what "Survival Mode" is going to mean?  So far, we've got a health meter, falling damage, crappy looking armor, different digging speeds, finite resources, and wandering undead.  What's he planning to add, and what can he actually get to in the next ten days?

Me too.
THis is a real good one. Here's how.

Stand under the water.  Aim your constructo-vision at a wall, and drop one of the sand or gravel type blocks. The ones that cave-in all the time.

Wala, instant "OMGWTF WATER SAVE MY CAVES NOOO!!!!!!!"

Hehe... the "three weeks of community testing" will be 'interesting'.

Anything game-breaking will have 3 days to be found and solved before Notch goes off on holidays. I sure hope he's got a few days for personal testing built in, because 3 days to troubleshoot an enormous expansion to the game could be 'fun'.
