Mmm, so another question: Where can I go to find people or servers that need "builders"? Basically I really only like minecraft for building these days, and I do LOVE to build, however it disheartens me a bit to know what I build won't be used by anyone. So again, where can I go to find a place that needs some awesome constructions that people will use?

Are you bored? Because I have a game that is very similar to minecraft but in space called "starmade", it has blocks and everything.
Basicly I am building a large carrier from wingcommander 3 which is 700 meters long, I have very little time lately because of work and if you want I can give you what I started and you can complete it for me If you're interested of course.

Thanks, but no! I have starmade, but i'm on a bit of a medieval time kick right now. Maybe at some point in the future i'd be willing to help ya out, but i'm not "bored" with minecraft per say, I just don't know where to go where I might make some noticeable contributions to a large amount of peoples experience.

I'll give you a nudge towards civcraft. The servers been running for over a year and shouldn't reset any time soon, every city needs builders and most would fund or support awesome projects.
Even abandoned city's generally have stewards that look after the most important buildings or areas .

You're welcome to come to dumathoin we sorely need a make over as the city is an empty shell with the potential to be an impressive megalithic/medieval themed underground fortress.
If that isn't your style there's a few active city's with medieval or late renasance theme.
There's also an upcoming project to build an unplanned vertical tower city inspired by Kowloon walled city.

all i found was expanding on redstone, i'm working on a piston/hopper/minecart (i guess there's some redstone involved in the way the carts are powered) system and i need to know every single possible way of using these devices

Has anyone else here got a problem with their mobile GPU absolutely refusing to devote any time to minecraft because of it being java?

Would this be Nvidia Optimus? You have to go into the Nvidia control panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings. Java is most likely not in the list, so you'll need to add it manually by searching for your active copy of javaw.exe.
Once added, then you can just modify it to use the graphics card as opposed to the integrated graphics.

I think driver updates may sometimes break this, so you need to check after doing that to make sure java is still using the right card.

Yes, what you suggested is supposed to do the trick, however it doesn't :p But it's ok, I reapplied thermak paste so though my framerate isn't ideal at least I'm not getting BOSD's anymore.

Welp, tried playing agrarian skies for the 5th time overall, and once again found a game breaking bug. Screw it. It seemed like a great idea but there is no point if the devs can't prevent all your hard work from disappearing.

not 100% sure if i can, but i have a friend who runs a whitelist resonant rise server, anyone interested in joining me on it, so it'd be worth asking them about opening it to more?

I broke open a chest with items in it, and now I cannot place blocks, pick up items, or even change the mode with NEI. I've tried reloading the game but I still cannot do anything. And somehow some of the blocks I had int he chest got places around the room randomly.

Well, I've officially gotten sucked in to playing Minecraft. I want to try out this Millenaire mod, but it doesn't seem to be working. Can anyone confirm whether it is possible for this mod to work on 1.7.10? http://millenaire.org/

Well I was confused, since on some sites I see it being listed as a mod for 1.7.10, but the link from those sites sends me to the main page of millenaire.

On the other hand, this was my first time using a mod, and I didn't realize I have to select the Forge version of Minecraft at launch in order to use the mod. I'm going to try it again now and see if it works.

I like the concept of that mod, minecraft always seems empty and dead to me.
