New snapshot, like half the features were not previously teased. Actually rather nifty.

Although really I don't give a single fuck about dropped features, I'm just happy you can place trapdoors on the top halves of blocks.

Neat, that's another two mods made redundant.

And just to get it out of the way

Yo dawg, I heard you like item frames, so I put a item frame in your item frame so you can admire while you admire.

Well played.

How far does it go?  Can you put frames within frames until it's just a single blue speck, with the promise of extracting a diamond if you break them, but is really a piece of teal dye?

Nope. Just the one object inside each frame.

Three days after release:

Now I'm imagining a mod where you jump through a picture frame and end up in a minecraft replica of the castle from Super Mario 64 and wondering if there's a limit to how many dimensions you can have in a single world.

A painting-based dimension mechanic akin to the Mystcraft books would be neat. Like that paint world in Oblivion.

What if you where able to combine Mystcraft books with frames? Of course that would lead to someone making a direct clone of the Super Mario 64 world so I see no downside to this idea.

How the fuck did you install a Snapshot? Because the people who make the tutorials on that shit are either blind or retarded. Mostly because they keep saying I get a .jar file when I download the client, dispite the fact that I am clearly getting a .zip file for my troubles. Help please?

Does the .zip file contain a .jar file?

Cue "oh"

Use a browser other than Internet Explorer.
It has this cute little feature where it ignores headers in downloaded files, so it just sees .jar files as generic archives.

Alternately, renaming the .zip to a .jar should work acceptably as well.

I already tried that before. Didn't work.
