Feel like starting a Capture the Wool adventure map in the style of Super Hostile called "Wasteland". Basically its a huge area consisting of Dirt, Rocks, and a bunch of Dungeons with stuff trying to kill you.

Currently creating the base world in World Painter. If and When I need help I'll ask here.

So looking at the walls... are the stone 'posts' automatic similar to fences or what?

I had this discussion on reddit. I think the posts are automatic either when you try to place a torch on them or every two blocks

I hope there's some way to override that, it'd be nice to be able to make longer walls without posts.

Simplest way would be to make it a post if you shift click.

I'm personally assuming posts will only form on corners and single blocks on top. Seems like the best way to handle it.

I wonder how it works with mod items.
It'll probably just show the sprite. Doesn't sound too bad.

Ok, so the server for the Fallout adventure map is up, but I'm not sure if I properly loaded the world. How do I load a singleplayer world onto a multiplayer server, and then how do I get same place as all the stuff I made already?

EDIT: What I did was I converted server.properties to a .txt file and opened it in notepad. I changed the level-name=world to level-name=[INSERT NAME OF ADVENTURE MAP/ADVENTURE MAP WORLD] and then changed the file back into a .properties. It didn't work. What, if anything, did I do wrong?

EDIT2: Never mind. I got it to work.

I hope names in SMP also go invisible here. Then again the spirals would give you away anyway in SMP.

The sparkles should be a transparent, but not too much so you cant see them at all. A floating sword would make it obvious someone is going to attack you, so I think the invisibility would be used more for hiding and retreats.

Jeb is a little at a loss on how to handle invisibility. Either the server just stops sending that information and thus makes any sort of armor, nameplates and particle effects impossible, or the information is still sent and people hack the client to make them visible again. He figures that no matter how encrypted he makes the info people will still crack it and have an unfair advantage with this.

We could possibly not see it, or have it only really work on mobs.

Same problem every pvp MMO ever has had with these things.
