Hullo vanilla minecraft thread. I've got a question about animal breeding. Does feeding an animal wheat mark it as "do not despawn"?

Because I've tried it out once, lured some chickens into a pen, fed them wheat, babies happened, but then I left and came back and they were just gone. It seems kinda useless if they despawn like normal animals. Is that supposed to happen or am I missing something?

I've never had animals disappear, modded or otherwise.

You sure it didn't manage to die somehow?

I'm not really sure, it was on flat land, pretty sure it had grass in the pen, and surrounded by a single row o- hmmm, wait, I had mo creatures installed, maybe something in there attacks domestic animals and can climb over fences. Hummmmmm.

   As of now in vanilla Minecraft none of the animals despawn anymore. Every time you gen the same seed you will have the same peaceful creatures in the same spot. Now with Mo Creatures since it does spawn more of its creatures it might implement that for normal animals as well and thus they would be able to despawn as well I think.

Yeah, Mo' Creatures despawns vanilla animals by default. You need to go into the options and disable that.

Changed Ender Chests to be per player, but also made you lose the Eye of Ender if you knock the chest down (so no free carrying around)

So end chests are actually useful outside of small friendly servers now.
