You people don't like exploiting water dynamics, do you... I just used my other bucket of water to climb out (Who carries just one bucket of water?). ;)

I am building my house in a jungle canopy.  Please help me, I think I'm becoming an elf.

Solution:

Burn. F**king. Everything. Down. To. Ash.

You can't! Not since the alpha patch that nerfed fire :(

I wish fire was more powerful :| The current iteration of fiah isn't very effective.

Yeah, when something horrible happened to a jungle in my modded game, I tried burning it down pre-emptively.  The only thing that happened was it made some of the tree trunks a little out of reach.  Very disappointing.

You can climb walls with one bucket of water too. :)

A single bucket of water and you can fall from the sky without as much as a bruise.

Really? I thought you needed at least 2 water block to prevent damage.

... People seem confused, I'll clarify.

Surviving any fall with a bucket of water:
1. Use bucket of water on a block near the drop so it flows down to the drop.
2. Wait for the water to reach the ground.
3. Jump.
4. Land in the stream 5-6 blocks above the ground for safety.

Climbing any wall with a bucket of water:
1. Place water as far up the wall as you can.
2. Swim up the stream as much as possible.
3. Pick up water source block and place it above you as quickly as possible.
4. Repeat 2-3 until you're over the wall.

You forgot that you have to pick the water source just before you jump in. Otherwise you have a probably undesirable waterfall chillin' there.

This is why I use finite water

Sometimes, I like to make little waterfalls and streams artificially. That's why I use infinite water.

Finite Liquids only makes closed off bodies of water finite, seas, and such are infinite, so you still have infinite water available

But can I move the sea to a hill? o_o

EDIT : Ooh, pumps. This sounds like a megaproject.

True, but remember once you take water from the sea, it becomes non-infinite.

Down on the 4th page whilst the mod page is on the 1st. Interesting..

Anyway, the new snapshot introduces local servers or whatever so you can now invite friends to play on your world.
