You did nothing that mod was crap and looked horrible.

 This, on the other hand, looks like sexyfine. One of the few instances of some feature cranked out by the developers being better than anything the modding community could do.

I haven't seen any pictures of it in action so I can't really comment on that, but if it's true then excellent. I hope it will also have lecterns to put the books on and fillable bookcases?

No bookcase support yet. Instead when you open a book you have an open page in front of you as opposed to dealing with the chat program rather clunkily. They'll probably get bookcases working decently soon. Don't really care. I got me some writable books.

Both Wurstknifes book mod and Tomes open the book in a page GUI in front of you, the only one that uses the chat is that clunky ass Bukkit plugin. And even then, you can get a nice GUI based one with Spout.

All the writable book does is open a page that you can write in. Much like the mod forsaken uses in his LP

Since we're talking about it, the tomes mod is multiplayer as well and other people can read them too.

Moral of the story: If you use mods, you are dead to Duke.

 If you use mods before an API makes them universal, I don't really want to go through the hassle to play on such a server.
