Ye, its a good video.
Since when did you all play/buy minecraft?
I bought it pre-haloween alpha, in the good old days when the community wasnt shit, and the game was a magic land of wonder, and when my favorite server was absolutely so crowded you had to explore very far to find a good building spot.
The good ol times.

So yeah, I do miss the good ol days, all this new fangled alchemy, dimensions, and an END GAME?  I don't particularly like them. 

Sure new stuff is cool, when its useful.

And an Ending to a sandbox survival game?
Aren't sandboxes supposed to be.. endless?

   To be fair, the current end is less like one and more like a brief segue in which you can gain a lot of levels and possibly watch text scroll for a while before getting back to the normal game.

Do you miss the good ol times?

I really miss having finite water and to a lesser extent really deep maps. Sadly the finite water mod isn't compatible with a lot of the other mods I like and I don't know if there is a SMP version of it or servers that use it.

Edit to add: Hell and floating maps were good fun too.

 I kinda miss creative mode. Unlimited map dimensions, crazy water physics, all sorts of crazy funkiness that went down in that. Wouldn't mind going back to the latest creative version for a romp with friends.

I started about six months or so before SMP, I remember it being the big buzz at the time. 

I still log on from time to time and explore, I haven't seriously played for a long time (last time I played regularly was just after they introduced minecarts I think..) so there is probably lots of new stuff to see and to do.

Right before beta. Bought it right after beta.

I bought it when it was super cheap and there were no mods.

I didn't play it until it was in beta, and the mod support got more widespread. Actually I think it was industrialcraft that made me finally play the game.
