The block transmuter I've seen before, but those generators are incredibly compact looking.  The new block discovery is also very interesting, as i really like the look of the tops of stone slabs.

   I like and dislike the power converters personally. I think they are great to use but then I realize that instead of doing some interesting build to power my farm I instead just went and hooked up some solar panels.

In my 1.1 world I had a machine room with an array of electric engines from Forestry which linked to teleport pipes. I could switch the frequency on the teleport pipes to determine where that power went (I had signs on the wall with frequencies to each quarry, refinery, etc) and it was all powered off a nuclear reactor. Didn't need power converters mod at all.

They are nice workaround for the energy pipes transfer bug

Heh, its a simple thing but I had never thought of it before. I stacked an energy collector and condenser on top of a redpower 2 transposer and targeted charcoal then ran a pipe into a steam engine powering my buildcraft quarry, then ran the pipe back to my disposal chest with my GoED. The collector powers the condenser slowly making charcoal. The transposer pulls charcoal out and feeds it to the engine if there is space, because it is the closest inventory. if there is no space, it sends the charcoal along to be gobbled up by the GoED. Yay eternal solar powered quarry.
