You can make upgrades for machines which increase their speed at the cost of more power for example, or let them handle higher voltage input.

nice, now I need only the compressor, then I can automate it up with buildcraft pipes and start mass producing diamond; then, quarries. (wow, the build tree for this is super long)

so, I upgraded to technic pack and I lost power converters  ::)

btw, any suggestion of other pack that adds 'gaming content' as opposed to 'crafting content'?

like the old aether mod. possibly compatible with the technical pack?

Well I've gotten into beekeeping from the forestry mod for minecraft, and have noticed I have a ton fo extra drones. Do they do anything besides turn princesses into queens? What do i do with them?

Hey guys, old MCer but never modded before. Any suggestions for good, STABLE mods I can have fun with? I'm a totally crafting-oriented guy, obsessed with symmetry and grand architecture, as well as machines. A bit of an engineering type. :) Thanks a lot! I've heard a lot about MC mods but I've never used any myself.

On that note, any MP servers with extensive modding?

I'm using just industrycraft and buildcraft, seems enough for a start. technic pack is maybe too much of a step up, but it's nicely packaged with it's own launcher.

I would add EE in there. Once you get into the higher tiers of it, you can carry around almost infinite inventory wherever you go. It even has an item for building walls.

And being able to transmute cobblestone in the world into smoothstone is really helpful for the perfectionists.

Also, running from a cave and turning the entrance into sand, which then collapses, is always good.

Freaking archers in the better dungeons mod....One shot kill with full iron armor. 2 shot kill with full diamond. Plus they blind you. Such bull.
