It.. just did. Right up there... ^^

Unless you meant when I get the HD texture pack worked out? I can certainly put up a copy of it once I get all of them together that I can find.

Edit: Gathered HD textures for:

Vanilla, Ender Chest, NEI, Buildcraft, IC2, EE2, PowerCraft, ComputerCraft, Wireless Redstone, Teleport Pipes, Logistics Pipes, Forestry.

Will include them with the pack in the future.

For now, if you want them all you can get the one I have assembled here: http://bit.ly/AChjMQ (Using bit.ly for statistics only)

Just drop that into your .minecraft\texturepacks folder and select it ingame from the texture packs list. It does cause some lag when you first select it and when you open your inventory the first time as textures load, just be patient. That is the price for beauty.

//Disclaimer// I take no credit for these textures, I simply gathered them together for use with my modpack. They were found by googling around or by looking on this site.

So... what do I do with the bees? I cannot see any of the mods that include them. Or a way to build a beehive.

Bees are from the forestry mod.

Really? How odd. It is working for me.

In short, you find bee hives randomly in the wild and can raise and cross-breed different types of bees and make mead, honey, necter, etc.

So, aside from the stupidly expensive IC teleporting. Is there any other teleporting ability in the game? I like EE's ability to carry everything with you, now I only need a way to open up a door to a "main base".

If you're talking about my modpack, there are three teleport abilities I'm aware of.

1. The IC2 teleport pad which uses energy based on distance and your calculated inventory 'weight'.
2. The Thaumcraft rune portal system which requires a nearby Vis node or crucible.
3. Portal gun + Portal spawner + Wireless Redstone.

In my current world I'm using the Thaumcraft portals. I have three set up in my base which take me to interesting sites. My iron portal goes to an obelisk site with an altar that I found, not sure what to do with it yet but I have transport set up. My gold portal goes to my mines. My regular portal goes to a secondary storage area where I have started setting up some forestry stuff for tree farming.

To set it up, place an obsidian archway with a void symbol at the top (symbol infused with stabilized arcane singularity). If you place a rune in the symbol that connects the portal to a 'network'. Portals with iron runes lead to other portals with iron runes. You can move items and creatures this way too, for less Vis cost. In the example above I have items being pumped through my regular (no rune) portal to the storage area where they are picked up by an obsidian pipe and sorted.

Example picture from the mod page:

The portal gun makes a great 'town portal' though. Put a portal spawner (set to orange) on a wall and bury a wireless redstone receiver under it set to a frequency you'll remember, then make a redstone remote. When you want to go home pop the blue portal on the wall and pulse the wireless redstone and step through. You have to be somewhat quick stepping through as the default is set to remove the portal once the pulse ends. You can change that in the settings though by going to .minecraft\mods\portalgun\ and opening mod_portalgun.properties with a text editor. Find the line "spawnerPowered = 1" and change to "spawnerPowered = 0"

if I recall correctly, portal to nether are placed on a different scale so if you make two nether portal on the overworld (one at home, one at the remote place) even if they are far away on the overworld they will spawn close in the nether shortening the travel quite a lot.

if this still is the case, it should be the vanilla way to close large distance.

True, the nether-to-overworld ratio is something like 8:1 so you can set portals at a distance in the nether to move much further in the overworld. Its very imprecise though, and portals deep in the overworld (level 13 or so in my last game) seem to not be able to link up for the return trip so it kept making new portals on the surface.

I've readen the wiki:

yes, it's 8:1; you need at least 128 block from one portal to another in overworld to spawn in different nether portal. keep the distance or, as forsaken111 said, you'll mess them up.

the best way to me seems to always go building them on overworld, respecting the overworld 128+ distance.

That is why I use the Thaumcraft portals instead. Easier to set up precisely where you want them and its not hard to power them really, just toss stuff in the crucible sometimes or carry some emergency vis supplies in your alchemy bag and/or a portable node.

Really? What do you do in Vanilla? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm honestly curious. Once I got to diamond tools and built my house, minecart track and farm I couldn't think of anything else.

Building a giant monument is fine in vanilla, but there's something much more satisfying about automating the monument building.
