I've been having this wierd tearing problem, I tried forcing V-synch on my ATI card, but to no avail, Do you know whats causing this?

That's anisotropic filtering going wrong.
Probably being forced by your GPU software for some reason.
Disable that and it should be fixed.

(Pro-tip: The problems that a lack of v-synchronization cause generally don't show up on screenshots.)

Strange. I will take a look when I get home. I've been using it for weeks without issue, are you sure you followed the instructions exactly?

Yup. Opened up the .jar with XArchiver, dumped the contents of the Bin folder in, deleted META-INF.

Copied the other folders over the the /minecraft directory and copied WorldEdit.jar over to the same folder as minecraft.jar.
