Some ideas:

Every player must have a bed, either in a barracks or in individual rooms
Designate a type of potion to be "booze", preferably a weak and easy-to-make one. Players must have at least one drink every day. This can be cheated a bit to get started as part of the "wagon's" supplies.
All items that are not being worn/used must go in community stockpiles. No carrying around an entire map's worth of diamonds on your person, since the next player won't be able to use them.

Minor mods that don't kill framerate or auto-build things may be used, such as armor stands, statues, an actual booze mod, or adding more creatures for dwarves to slaughter frolic with.

Will ores appear when the mod is installed AFTER generating a world?

Ores that weren't around when the world was made don't appear in already generated chunks, but will appear if you explore new territory.

YogBox seems to be killing my Minecraft. Any idea why?

Install Yogbox again without the more health rpg mod, that's the one causing the black screen.

Did a bit of math, and research and such.
Assuming that industrialcraft uranium blocks are not loosely packed(mostly on the fact that all that's used to make it is uranium), and that they're the "heaviest" legitimate elements in the game sans bedrock (after Industrialcraft installed that is, and I can't really think how any other blocks would be made  of heavier elements), then theoretically, 'ole Steve can carry at least one fourth of the weight of the Empire State Building at a time in uranium.
This has some dazzling implications such as feeling very lucky we don't have pullstuffoutofvideogame technology within even conceivable range.
That saying, a tightly packed cubic meter of uranium is about 21.05 tons in itself.
I am currently using one of mine as a decorative nightstand.
