It seems to be quite decently streaming for something that has somewhere in the range of 50k viewers at once.
Thats probably cost a lot of money to do, since I've seen more lagged streams with a crapton less people on twitch before.

The Minecon Stream is running at twice the speed for me. It loads a chunk and then plays it. She is so high pitched like this.

I'll give it a shot, but 1.8 made the family desktop freeze and my laptop gets single-digit FPS on absolute minimum settings. Especially jarring on the laptop, which is less than a month old but uses an Intel graphics card.

Tried using OptiFine? Pretty much essential for me to run the game.

And RC2 does run a lot better than the older versions for me.

Dunno what OptiFine is. I WILL give it a shot though, I'd love to be able to play Minecraft more frequently...maybe try those mods you guys are always talking about

Unfortunately, it looks like it's only for 1.81, which means that it probably won't work for the new version. I'll have to try running the new version on it's own and see what performance I get.

I forget; is RC2 another mod or the abbreviation for the official release?

RC2 stands for release candidate 2. It's an early version of 1.0,
