Dig a hole under that glass segment and break it.

Leave a one-block gap between the glass and a random block (say, dirt). The creeper will fall through, but it won't be able to see you because it's head is surrounded by the rest of the glass. You can then kill it so long as you don't stand right next to it.

Running Zepplins with just vanilla blocks: Works alright, aside from clipping issues and some constructions cutting off for no discernible reason.

 Running with any sort of mod: Oh god no.

Actually, Industrialcraft blocks work fine when attached, aside from not being usable when the ship is in motion, it even saves the energy levels in the machines apparently, and it works with the campfire from Xie's mod.

Buildcraft and EE are both pissy with it though.

Yeah, the zeppelin developer intends to add compatibility with BC. But I have huge floating industrial bases now, Nuclear reactors are much safer when you can just fly them away from the rest of your base.

Although I'd like the mod a lot more if Zeppelins required fuel to run.

Same. Pipes don't crash the game, but they become invisible, and the glass tank things just get their texture ruined. I just place/remove the steam engine and pump, and it works fine.

 They went in with fully enchanted equipment I think. It explains why they were not being murdered by Endermen. Even then it is brutally difficult to reach that thing.

 A lure would be great.
