Running Zepplins with just vanilla blocks: Works alright, aside from clipping issues and some constructions cutting off for no discernible reason.

 Running with any sort of mod: Oh god no.

Actually, Industrialcraft blocks work fine when attached, aside from not being usable when the ship is in motion, it even saves the energy levels in the machines apparently, and it works with the campfire from Xie's mod.

Buildcraft and EE are both pissy with it though.

Although aside from mobile mining derreck I kinda want BC for whatever plans I have.

Yeah, the zeppelin developer intends to add compatibility with BC. But I have huge floating industrial bases now, Nuclear reactors are much safer when you can just fly them away from the rest of your base.

Although I'd like the mod a lot more if Zeppelins required fuel to run.

Yep. The egg appears when the enderdragon dies. Right clicking it teleports the egg, and you can pick it up with flowing water, pistons, and dropping it on a torch (It's affected by gravity)

So, I have this vague memory that Minecraft Genuine, like totally commercial here we go, was supposed to be released on 11/11/11 like every other game in existence.

Uh... Was it?  Sure doesn't look like it on the website.

Posted 4 days ago, so I assume it's still ongoing.

EDIT: Basically, instead of Beta 1.9 it's going to be "1.0".

yeah, it is being released during minecon, 18th is the date I've seen in a couple of places.

Notch wanted to release on 11/11/11 (which is hilarious in hindsight, given what went down with Bethesda), but he couldnt book a conference venue for the 11th so he had to push the con, and hence the release date, back.
