At least it loaded textures.

Problem: It loaded ALL the textures. I can see a door and a ladder there...

I can see redstone, wool, logs and bunch of other stuff.

Even better, make it so clicking on an item sorts all the recipes that make that item to the top of the list.

Have you tried clicking on an item? You might be surprised at the results... (In 1.2.0+, it hides ALL recipes that don't include that item as either a component or a product. It has some problems with item damage values, since recipes can require specific values, or accept any but Minecraft's built-in stack comparison doesn't understand crafting's "any", some recipes might not be shown, despite being compatible with the filtered item. Been fixed but not released yet)

Although Crafting Book doesn't seem to be up to 1.8 outside of Technic Pack.

Anisotropic filtering, not anti-aliasing.
Forcing AA works 100% fine.  Murders FPS for not a whole lot of benefit in a game of this nature, but does work.

You don't have to mash left-click and the right key together for a solid minute to see a recipe. Wanna know what you can do with your Philosopher's stone? It's all there.

This is a massive improvement upon the old formula; I can see this mod becoming commonplace very quickly.

With crafting book you place the item you want to see the recipes for in the input, and the game shows you every recipe that uses that item.

If you're aiming to make a GoED and don't have any diamonds or obsidian, you're doing summat wrong

And yeah, in such situations it would be much more helpful.
