So, uh, I'm using Industrialcraft, and I can't get energy to travel from any non-normal generator. There is zero flowage with water and wind generators, no matter how I use them. Do I need certain wires or cords?

What do?

Edit: Nevermind, tin cables are my new heroes.

Putting a batbox or other energy storage thing as an intermediary works too. There's a big complicated explanation but I'll just leave it at that.

It's exclusive to the Technic Pack. I have no idea how to make them though. You could try looking in a recipe book or something.

I think the Industrialcraft forums have it as an addon but I cannot be sure.

Hokay, new question. Buildcraft this time.

Is there a simpler way to do away with the pipes that mining machines leave behind? Whacking 'em with your hand is easy, but getting back up...

Does something work better to remove them?

Not to my knowledge, but I kinda like em.

Y'see, I'm trying to get to the magma and stuff at the bottom, and since pumps don't barrel through the earth like miners do, I need a safe shot down.

Unless there's another way to work pumps that I'm not aware of yet. Is there a better way to get to the hot gooey goodness?
You could always just find the magma and dig a straight shaft down by hand..

Or use about a half stack of tnt to drill straight down.

The Marx generator will produce Engels-waves which should allow the inherently unstable isotope of Leninium to undergo a rapid Stalinisation in mere trockoseconds.

I saw it on the industrycraft forums called Energy Coupler. required buildcraft 2.2 though so can't use it with the current technic pack.

Another alternative: use a 3x3 quarry to (rather slowly) drill down. It doesn't leave anything behind.

actually a 3x3 quarry should go fairly fast if you power it well.

Isn't the mining machine for industrial craft? Either way, the industrial craft mining machine is better. And just in case that's the one your talking about, you need to remove the drill and place stone/dirt/whatever you want to fill back up the hole with.

The IC one gives me debilitating lag if I leave it unattended. It's ridiculous.

In any case, I've got a good grasp of Buildcraft and IC now. Just gotta find some supercomplex to build while I'm at it.

What I love doing, is picking a mountain, leveling the top and keeping it's shape, then building your fort/house/whatever to that shape, and working out what your gonna make with the limitations. It really gives my buildings class when you have things forcefully shaped.

And a tip, make the walls 3 blocks wide. Everywhere. It makes threading redpower redstone and IC wires infinitely cleaner.
