Well, buildcraft conflicts with EE
No it doesn't, unless something changed within the last week. I have all three in my singleplayer game with no conflicts.

O my bad, that was redpower that had a conflict with buildcraft.

Redpower doesn't conflict with buildcraft either, they're both in the Technic Pack :P

And as for Necropolis stuff, they have way more members than we do, and have had for some time.
Also, the island we settled on wasn't ideal, and I wasn't leader when we settled there.
I didn't mean to sound like I was blaming you for it, I just wanted to start getting it fixed.

Whatcha guys think? This was entirely done using survival mode, and just shows how little of a life I have past DF, Minecraft, and college.  :P
That is nice. Sorry to hear about the server going.

Also, bear in mind the new update won't be for another month or so, which might be kind of a long wait. Also, N@W is a pregenned map, so in addition to updating slowly, it won't be impacted as much by new features (since there are no NPC villages/strongholds/mushroom biomes/etc to be missing).

If you guys plan on making a megaconstruction, I suggest recreating one of the famous fortresses made in DF.
Eh, a giant reference wouldn't be all that impressive to most people.

Plus, MC doesn't have rotting limbs and miasma clouds, so it'd be kind of hard to reproduce Boatmurdered faithfully.

Some food for thought: do strength potions work on snow golems?
Aaaaand now I want potion slushy golems.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
My very poor approximation has come up with 90,000.
and eight hours of digging through stone. At three stone per second.
and 57 diamond picks.

Some food for thought: do strength potions work on snow golems?

Took more like 3 months on and off :P 3 stone a second? Thats some fast mining lol.

Now, my great hall, where my four tunnels intersect, took about 8-9 hours of continuous digging (no breaks here) to get the main part excavated.  However, its no where near as big as the Cathedral, as I built it a longtime before hand.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Later on (not long before I did the cathedral), I came back to this hall and re-did the ceiling, as it was extremely bland.  Also by then I got a shiny new texture pack.. which made cobblestone so much nicer to look at:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Those two areas (the Cathedral and Great Hall) were the only two things I made there that were really spectactular, in my opinion.  Everything else wasn't all that polished, and even the updated Great Hall had things I needed to fix still.

The four tunnels I mentioned were as follows:  North lead to the northern exit, situated in a valley between two steep mountains (This was BEFORE the new biomes).  Very beautiful terrain, and the entrance used a large amount of mossy cobblestone as well as two pairs of iron doors controlled by a lever, that one of the moderators did for me with redstone.

The southern tunnel was by far the longest, going waaaay south under the "Ocean" (not much of an ocean though), and then proceeding west a bit to a mountain which it came out of.  I built a crappy looking dwarf-face out of the mountain with lava flowing out of it's mouth.

Eastern tunnel wasn't worked on much, so nothing there.

Western tunnel lead directly to the Cathedral.  Beyond that, not on the four tunnels, I had various other areas leading to workshops and the mines.

I loved that fortress, although I was looking to start new.. but I had figured we were going to wipe the server and start fresh, not close it down alltogether.  I was sad aboot that.

Has anyone tried the yogbox with industrial and buildcraft installed? More importantly can anyone make it work on 1.8.1?
I have built this...
I plan to recreate most of Yogcast's Technic Pack for 1.8.1 and adding a few differences. I will be building this up personally for my own enjoyment, but when I have a stable working game, if anyone wants a copy, let me know (and how I would go about giving it to ya)... ^_^

Mods that will be included ::

We Enhance but just begin here ::
Rei's Minimap - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/482147-18119pre3oct07-reis-minimap-v23/
Risugami's Mods, Shelves/Armourstands/RecipieBook/Deathchest - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/75440-v181-risugamis-mods-everything-updated/
Somnia - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/162771-181-somnia-v15-sspmlmcf-added-minecraft-forge-support/

Doggy Talents - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/520521-181-doggy-talents-mod-v159/

We change how you will play ::
Buildcraft - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/682920-181-buildcraft-221-pipes-quarry-auto-crafting-building-engines/

Better Then Wolves - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/253365-181-better-than-wolves-mod-v296-upd-oct-6/
Equivalent Exchange - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/364525-181-equivalent-exchange-v416/

The Red Text is that of a Mod I haven't 100% added yet, gotta get around to it.
I currently have around 22+ Mods running into this game and quite happy with how its working so far. Better then Wolves is added and that took some time, turns out they add 34 NEW Blocks into the game, thats more then IC2 and BC, so finding the Right IDs for them was a hassle but I now know about certain things now. :P

Tried to add the Mod LEVEL UP! to it, but by the looks of things the Mod doesn't work alongside Runecraftory due to the Hud interface that appears was meshed with what Runecraftory uses. Oh well...

Seeing as I can't really share a Download for this "Pack" I can do a Tutorial on how to set it up if ya want. After basicly fixing a couple of IDs for the Shelf and Stand blocks from Risugami collection, you could attempt to put in any Mod that doesn't attempt to add more Blocks...

Well the new technic pack works for 1.8.1, the only problem I've been havng is my Minecraft crashes when I go under water. I also seem to crash if I fall too fast.

Redpower doesn't conflict with buildcraft either, they're both in the Technic Pack :P

That's because they were modified to fit together. Installing them separately causes ID conflicts.

The newest is 4.4.0 for 1.8.1, which is found here.

And ID conflicts are piss-easy to resolve compared to most incompatibilities.

Hmm. I'm tired of single-player. Time to ramp things up.

Anyone know a survival server that's not an utter pain to join? I like servers that don't whitelist just anyone, but Christ, having to register to forums and post and wait is too much of a damn hassle for me.

Yeah, god forbid you have to put 15-20 minutes into applying to a server.  ::)

Putting the less than half an hour to join a decent server is actually pretty good. It keeps the shitters out for the most part, and if any actually have the patience to join there will be a banhammer with the weight of a thousand mountains coming down on them very quickly.
